Most awaited Twitter deal: World’s richest man and Tesla chief Elon Musk has offered to buy social media company Twitter for a whopping $41 billion. To buy the world’s largest social media company, Musk has offered this huge amount through a letter to the company’s president.
In a letter to Twitter President Brett Taylor, Musk said the company needed to be privatized to drive impactful change. Currently, Musk holds more than nine percent stake in this company. Twitter’s largest shareholder.
He said he would have to reconsider his position as a stakeholder if Twitter does not consider his proposal.
Musk’s offer to Twitter comes days after he was denied a board seat following his 9.02 percent stake in the microblogging platform.
