
World Food Day: India is not only famous for its cultural and traditional diversity, but it is also known for its diverse cuisine. Each province has its own way of preparing traditional dishes and different ingredients are also used for it, which make the local cuisine even more special.
Similarly, Raipur also has its own unique cuisine. On World Food Day, the cast of &TV spoke about their favorite local cuisine and foodie spots in Raipur.
Shrenu Parikh said, “There are many types of cuisines available in Raipur, such as fara, muthia and buffuri. After coming to Raipur, everyone must try the taste of these delicacies. Aam, Chila, Bara, Bhajiya, Sabudana Khichdi, Khurma, Tilgur and Dubki Kadhi are some of the other special dishes prepared in this city. I personally like the cuisine of Raipur very much and I would recommend everyone to taste it at least once in a lifetime.”
Salim Zaidi said, “I love sweets and Chhattisgarh is famous for many delicious and special sweets found here. Along with sweets like Petha and Rakhiya Badi, Jalebi is also very famous here. If you want to enjoy street food and local delicacies, then you must visit Telibandha Talab, Netaji Chowk, Sadar Bazar, Shastri Market, Rathod and Jai Stambh Chowk, MG Marg Chowpatty and Punjabi Chaat Corner of Shankar Nagar.”
