Raipur. Job / Vacancy: The state government has approved the recruitment of 975 Sub Inspector posts in Chhattisgarh Police. DGP DM Awasthi has formed a high power committee for recruitment on Saturday itself. These include Durg’s ADG Vivekanand Sinha, DIG OP Pal, Ajay Yadav, Mila Kurre and Dr. Lal Umaid Singh. Applications will be invited from October 1. There has been no recruitment on the posts of Sub Inspector since 2013 in the state.
However, in 2018, the then BJP government had started the process of recruitment on 655 posts. In this 1.27 lakh candidates had applied. This process has not yet been completed. Now the process has been started afresh by the state government. Along with forming the committee, the government has given instructions to complete the recruitment process expeditiously.
Under this, forms will be taken from October 1 to 31. The official notification for recruitment to these posts will be issued soon by the police. After completing the application process written and physical test will be conducted in one to one and half month.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions to the concerned departmental officers to issue permission for recruitment to various posts of Home (Police), Revenue and Food Departments. After this instruction, the process has been started for recruitment to a total of 2492 posts. Apart from these departments, Chief Minister Baghel has also given instructions to prepare and submit an action plan for recruitment to the vacant posts of all other departments.
As a result of the decision taken by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, approval was issued for the formation of ‘Bastar Fighters’ force under the Home (Police) Department, in which permission has been given for the recruitment of 2100 posts. Similarly, new recruitment has been given on the posts of 301 Patwaris at the field level under the Revenue Department. Along with 84 food inspectors, a total of 91 posts will be recruited under the food department.
