
Dhamtari: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel attended the convention of traditional Vaidyaraj organized on the occasion of Rishi Panchami at Koteshwar Dham, Dongardula in the city of Dhamtari district.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has started the work of saving the traditional knowledge of Vaidyas in writing, it will be taken further. While encouraging Vaidyaraj, he said that just as vegetables are grown in the gardens of the house, similarly Vaidyaraj should also plant medicinal plants in the gardens. Grant will also be given by the government for Vaidya Bari.
On this occasion, Mr. Baghel inaugurated centers for processing and training of medicines in Koteshwar Dham, construction of rest houses for Vaidyas, opening of paddy procurement centers, giving community forest rights lease in 4 hectare area to Koteshwar Dham, seven streams of Koteshwar Dham. Announced for construction of stop dam, construction of shed in Yagya Shala and arrangement of electricity and drinking water from solar energy in Koteshwar campus.
The Chief Minister directed to send a proposal to Dhamtari District Collector to make Belergaon a tehsil.
In the convention of traditional doctors organized at Koteshwar Dham, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that since ancient times, Vaidyas have been treating with herbs. In order to preserve and encourage their knowledge, now the Government of Chhattisgarh has arranged for grants. The Chief Minister said that there are many medicinal plants in our forests, the knowledge of these is known to the Vaidyarajas, by writing down this knowledge, the coming generation will also benefit from it.
In this sequence, a conference of more than 2000 Vaidyarajas was organized in Raipur Medical College about two years ago. The knowledge of Vaidyas has been collected and published by the Chhattisgarh Plant Board in the form of a book, which was also distributed to Vaidyarajas during the program. In this book, the knowledge of more Vaidyas will be collected and published.
Vaidya Sammelan has started on the occasion of Rishi Panchami under the joint aegis of Shambhu Shakti Health Social Service Institute and Tribal Traditional Certified Vaidyaraj Pradesh Sangh in Koteshwar Dham of the city. Before attending the conference today, the Chief Minister offered prayers at Koteshwar Dham and prayed for the progress and prosperity of the state.
In the inaugural program of the conference, Deputy Speaker Manoj Mandavi said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, diligent efforts are being made for the welfare of the common people. Whether it is about electricity bill half scheme for consumers or loan waiver for farmers, the state government is working with full dedication in the service of Chhattisgarhi Mahtari.
Addressing the program, Advisor to Chief Minister Pradeep Sharma said that the purest medicinal plants are found in the Himalayan hills and forests of Chhattisgarh. Today during worship at Koteshwar Dham, he found that 60-62 types of herbs are available here. It is necessary to reach and upgrade the knowledge of traditional Vaidyarajs to more and more people.
