Zealandia : After the formation of the Earth, the process of life origin, continuous development and change in it is still going on. New continents continued to grow and expand due to the drifting of the inner tecnotic plates, along with a drastic change in its composition, and this process is still ongoing.

At present, the Earth is divided into seven continents, but many geologists have been claiming for a long time that there exists another continent on Earth which is still making its existence on the Earth. Now this continent has ripped through the trough of the ocean and is revealing its existence on the earth from there.
This continent has made a big rift i.e. subduction zone to take the surface form. This subduction zone is formed under the sea near New Zealand. If there is a movement in this tectonic plate, then there can be a terrible earthquake and tsunami around New Zealand. Such a warning was issued by geologists, the area where all these dug has been made is in the southern region of New Zealand and is known as the Pesgar Trench.

Due to the formation of this subduction zone, the Australian tectonic plate has moved under the Pacific tectonic plate here. If there is a slight movement here, it can cause devastation like the tsunami in 2004.
Scientists have prepared its map recently. This continent extends from Australia southeast to the coast of New Zealand. It is spread over an area of about 50 lakh square kilometres. Due to its association with the land of New Zealand, geologists have named it as its similar name Zealandia.
Scientists say that Zealandia once existed on Earth, but the change in technotic plates had pushed this continent into the trough of the ocean, now again the internal movements have given it a chance to come up. Scientists claim that this eighth continent broke away from the Gondwana land billions of years ago and got absorbed in the ocean.
About 4 years ago today, scientists discovered these short hidden eighth continent and now its detailed map has been prepared. It is being told that this continent is present at a depth of 3800 feet in the Pacific Ocean under the sea and a pyramid-shaped huge rocky body located on it has now emerged out of the sea.
Researcher Brandon Schach from The University of Texas at Austin said that by studying such subduction zones, we will be able to collect more and more information about the formation of cracks on the Earth’s chest. Along with this, we will also get to know what level of earthquake can occur due to the formation of such subduction zones.

However, it is not yet known how this crack formed? From where has it started? Light scientists are doing continuous research on this and are keeping an eye on the formation of new subduction zones. Along with this, there are frequent mild earthquakes in the area and internal changes are taking place continuously.
