
Raipur. Chhattisgarh : Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched the new facility of Transport Department- ‘Tunhar Sarkar, Tuhar Dwar’ today in a program organized at his residence office. Through this new facility, Transport Department would be able to provide as many as 22 transport services to people of the state at their doorsteps. These services include transport services related to smart card based driving licenses and registration certificates. These services will be delivered through speed post to the residential addresses of the applicants and the vehicle owners. Applicants can apply on www.parivahan.gov.in to avail these services. With voluntary ‘Aadhaar’ authentication under this new facility, people would be able to avail the transport services immediately. With the launch of this service, Chhattisgarh has become the first state in the country where the Transport Department is integrating the services related to driving license and registration with Aadhaar card.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Baghel said that the present government is making consistent and sincere efforts to bring more convenience to the lives of people. In the same sequence, State Government is making the services under Transport Department more accessible to the general public. Chhattisgarh Government believes that the more accessible public facilities are, the easier their life would be the lives of people and faster would be the pace of development. Modern technology is being utilized to provide government services to people. The Department of Transportation has taken a commendable initiative to provide online services in this time of COVID crisis, as this would help in avoiding crowds and the infection. Moreover, people would save time and energy because no more running from pillar to post at transport office is required to get their work done. He congratulated people of the state and the officers -employees of Transport Department on this occasion. On the occasion, Amar Parwani of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Manish Raj Singhania from Auto Mobis Dealers Association, present in Raipur and Durg, joined through video conferencing and took feedback about the new facility launched today. They also appreciated the initiative taken by the Transport Department to provide online services.

Presiding over the programme, Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar said that Transport Department has taken the initiative to provide 22 important services online, which would bring more transparency and accountability in the departmental works. He added that this facility would save people from frequent trips to transport office to get their work done. Transport Minister Akbar informed that under this newly-implemented system, Transport Department is providing 22 types of transport related services including driving license and registration certificate issuance to the applicants at their registered address. Applicants will also be able to track online the status of speed post sent to them. Chief Minister Baghel and Transport Minister Mr. Akbar handed over the driving licenses and registration certificates (to be sent to the applicants via speed post under ‘Tunhar Sarkar, Tunhar Dwar’ facility) to the Superintendent of Post Office Raipur Division B.L. Jangde and the Assistant Superintendent of Post Office Raipur JS Pardhi.
On this occasion MP Deepak Baij, Advisor to Chief Minister Rajesh Tiwari, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Subrat Sahu, Transport Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh and Additional Transport Commissioner Dipanshu Kabra were present on the occasion.
In the new facility ‘Tunhar Sarkar, Tuhar Dwar’ launched by Transport Department today, 10 services related to license including duplicate license, driving license renewal and change of address, along with 12 services related to vehicles including ownership transfer and change of address will be provided to the applicants at the comfort of their home. Registration of new vehicles, amendment of old vehicles to RCC, new driving license and change in old license after driving license and registration certificate (RC) will be delivered directly to the registered address through Speed Post of India, in maximum 7 days. As soon as the mail is dispatched, an SMS will be sent to the applicants with the tracking ID of the speed post, so that the applicants can get the commodity status informationn as and when they want. In case the applicant is not available at home, the applicant will be informed about the delivery through SMS.
Applications related to vehicles such as new registration of motor vehicles, transfer of ownership, alternation of motor vehicle, change of address in registered card, change in motor vehicle, fresh RC of finance, hypothecation addition-continuance-cancellation, second key of registered card The copy, registration number, re-assignment, renewal of registration will be approved by the registering officer, after necessary examination of documents by the transport office and necessary inspection of vehicles as per the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. For the smooth operation of this new system, Transport Department has issued helpline number 75808-08030. Through this helpline number, applicants can get information regarding dispatch of smart card based driving license and registration certificate after approval from the transport offices. Similarly, medical certificates will be issued online for driving license. During the program, civil and transport department officials from different districts of the state also joined the program online.
